Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before engaging my services as a Birth and Postnatal Doula. These terms outline the responsibilities, expectations, and limitations of the doula-client relationship. By engaging our services, you agree to abide by these terms.

 

1. Scope of Services:

• As a Birth and Postnatal Doula, I provide emotional, physical, and informational support to clients during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.

• My services include prenatal consultations, birth preparation, continuous support during labour and delivery, postnatal assistance, breastfeeding support, and guidance on new-born care.

• I do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. My services complement, but do not replace, the care provided by medical professionals.

2. Client Responsibilities:

• Clients are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about their medical history, pregnancy, and birth preferences.

• Clients agree to notify us promptly of any changes in their health status or birth plans.

• Clients understand that we are not medical professionals and will seek medical advice from qualified healthcare providers for any medical concerns.

3. Payment and Fees:

• Fees for doula services are discussed and agreed upon in advance.

• A non-refundable deposit of 50% of agreed fee will be required to reserve my services for the expected due date.

• Full payment is due either before or upon completion of services, as outlined in the service agreement.

• Additional fees may apply for services outside the scope of the agreed-upon package.

4. Cancellation and Refunds:

• Clients may cancel doula services at any time, but the deposit is non-refundable.

• Cancellations made within a specified timeframe before the expected due date may incur additional charges, as outlined in the service agreement.

• In the event of unforeseen circumstances preventing me from fulfilling my obligations, I will provide a refund of any fees paid for services not rendered.

5. Confidentiality:

• I respect the confidentiality of my clients and will not disclose any personal or medical information without explicit consent, except as required by law.

• Discussions between the doula and client are confidential, unless there is a risk of harm to the client or others.

6. Limitation of Liability:

• While I strive to provide the highest quality of care and support, I cannot guarantee specific outcomes or results.

• I am not liable for any unforeseen complications, medical outcomes, or decisions made by the client or medical professionals.

• My liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

7. Communication and Availability:

• I will make every effort to be available for prenatal meetings, labour support, and postnatal visits as agreed upon with the client.

• Clients are encouraged to communicate their needs, concerns, and preferences openly and promptly.

• I will respond to client inquiries and requests in a timely manner, but cannot guarantee immediate availability at all times.

8. Amendments to Terms and Conditions:

• These Terms and Conditions may be updated or modified from time to time at my discretion.

• Clients will be notified of any changes to these terms, and continued engagement of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
